So, you wanna make some content* for <insert game name here>?

These tutorials where developed by me LintphishX also known as Benjamin Allen. I'm sure I'm not the first to come up with some of them but I swear I give credit where it is due. These are mainly for video game graphics but I do have some little tricks for everyday Photoshoping / Paintshopping. Most all of my tutorials are made using Photoshop. It easily translates to Paintshop pro but if you have any questions e-mail me.

If you can't see the link, Chances are Java scripting is disabled. I use a simple java script that chops up my address so spam bots cannot harvest it. Windows XP service pack 2s IE browser will warn you about certain scripts and block them by default. If you have disabled java script, give it the most basic permissions. The only reason for disabling java is to stop pop ups and at the moment the newest version of all browsers block pop ups without need off disabling java script. If the tutorial doesn't have a link to it yet, that means it's coming soon... quicker if by demand! If you just can't grasp the tutorials don't fret. I include actions / droplets that may do all the work for you in each tutorial.

PLEASE HELP!
I'm not able to use FortuneCity as a free server and supply all the tutorials I propose to make. It's getting way to small here and there aren't enough file types to support my tutorials. I know I don't have a huge following but I have gotten many emails from people that use the site. If you host sites or can recommend a good server that isn't very expensive I would really appreciate it. I focus on the "Sims 2" but would like to have some general graphics tutorials up. This may not agree with your terms if you host "Sims" only sites.

My other option is to ask for donations to support a host. I plan to use bluehost if I can raise enough funds. It will cost me about $7 a month not including setup fees but I hear it's a good host.

The images on this site can be huge and take a long time to load on a Dial up connection. The detail is there to help you grasp the ideas better. I try my best to optimize all I can!

With work and other life options I don't update very often. Nothing here is guaranteed and I don't give my full attention to this sit e... just be warned. I do however take the time to answer all my email that I receive.

Flash coming soon! All tutorials to be replaced by flash versions. Be sure you have the flash plug in. I was going to focus on 3 paint programs but I think I will make the main focus on Photo shop and give hints to paintshop pro. If you use gimp and cannot use the two examples to peck your way through gimp try googling for some gimp tutorials or read up on the gimp help file.

Well, I cannot upload flash files on a free service. So Flash is on hold for the time being.

For The Sims:

Almost all of the sims 2 tutorials apply for the sims with a little translation.

For The Sims 2 / Body Shop:

Make sure you get the tutorial and manual from the same page you downloaded Body Shop from. They are invaluable. If you Go around moaning and griping about not knowing how to do anything in body shop and you haven't read the manual or tutorial I shall point and laugh at you!!! CLICK HERE IF YOU NEED THE MANUAL OR TUTORIAL!

Skinning Using Only MS Paint! Why you would want to is proof you are insane in a bad way.
Re-color existing clothes.
Make your own clothing from scratch!
Alpha Channels - How to make an alpha channel for your own clothing!
Normal Maps (faking it) - The bluish .bmp file that gets exported when you create a new project. How to make your own and get details that make clothing look more 3d. Also how this texture can be used to make sequins or suede.
Normal Mapping (the real deal) - I was going to go into great detail here... but just use the plugin in for photoshop on the bottom of the list at http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nv_texture_tools.html.
Hair Tutorial - How the hair textures are named, how you change the color and how you change the alpha channels to give them hair cuts. This won't help you make the hair any longer though.
How to make objects for The Sims 2 - For now you may get a good idea from Modthesims2. I'll be posting tutorials when I have time, most of which will be general 3d tutorials on how to make things. I use blender3d since it's free and available to anyone. It's also a very small download. Get Blender!
